This six week course is based on Vincent Persichetti’s seminal book “Twentieth Century Harmony”. For those who are not aware of this book, it is an all encompassing presentation on harmonic procedures, specifically focusing on music of the first half of the twentieth century covering all aspects of music including scales, harmony, rhythm, and development.
In addition to the text, each video includes numerous score examples with my analyses that pertain to the material.
Each video covers one, or two, chapters and are approximately 150 minutes in length.
